16.07.2026 | LIFE projects SHINE and ECOEMPOWER are joining forces to strengthen One-Stop Shops for energy communities across Europe.
The two LIFE projects of SHINE and ECOEMPOWER are collaborating to better support citizens and local authorities in setting up and running energy communities and Renewable Energy Communities (RECs) across Europe.
At the heart of this collaboration are regional One-Stop Shops (OSS) – physical and digital hubs where interested stakeholders can access integrated financial, legal and technical advice, alongside practical tools for developing their energy projects.
Through joint activities, the two LIFE projects exchange best practices and ready-to-use resources on:

Designing and managing effective One-Stop Shops

Using tools and guidelines tailored to RECs

Replicating successful approaches in different regions and countries

Engaging and supporting local communities over the long term
By pooling their experience, ECOEMPOWER and SHINE strengthen the role of regional and local authorities as facilitators of energy communities and lower practical barriers for citizens who want to participate in the clean energy transition.
