25.11.2025 | Strengthening Skills and Knowledge Within Energy Communities

Towards the end of last year, the Association des Centrales Villageoises (ACV) organized several training activities as part of the ECOEMPOWER project, offering practical and targeted support to members of citizen-led energy initiatives.

In collaboration with ECLR, ACV hosted an online training focused on communication within energy communities. The session aimed to strengthen communication skills and provide concrete tools to improve outreach, visibility, and citizen engagement. Around 20 participants joined the online session and exchanged experiences on effective communication practices.

In addition, ACV developed a new training module in 2025 dedicated to small ground-mounted photovoltaic projects. Designed for individuals involved in citizen-driven renewable energy initiatives, this full-day in-person course addresses key aspects of ground-mounted PV systems, including project development steps as well as legal and economic arrangements. The training is informed by practical feedback from existing citizen energy projects. The first session took place in Arles on 17 October, drawing around 10 participants.

ACV also organized a training session dedicated to renewable heat projects for energy communities on 20 November. The session brought together a total of 14 participants, joining partly online and partly in person. It focused on key aspects of renewable heat initiatives relevant for energy communities and provided an opportunity to deepen practical knowledge while discussing challenges and solutions.

With these training activities, ACV continues to build capacities within energy communities and supports the advancement of citizen-led renewable energy projects under the ECOEMPOWER initiative.
