20.06.2026 | General Assembly in Modena: our agency showcased its work on industrial energy communities and used the opportunity to present ECOEMPOWER’s regional One‑Stop‑Shops.
In May 2026, ECOEMPOWER was present at the FEDARENE General Assembly in Modena, which brought together regions and energy agencies from across Europe to exchange on how to drive a just and competitive energy transition. The event focused strongly on industrial energy communities, reflecting growing interest in how industrial actors can cooperate on energy supply, flexibility and decarbonisation while maintaining regional competitiveness.
During one of the sessions, the participating agency presented its work under another project dedicated to industrial energy communities and explained how this project supports the development of collective solutions in industrial contexts. In this context, ECOEMPOWER was also introduced, as the speaker described the agency’s broader activities and its role in operating and developing One‑Stop‑Shops for energy communities.
By referring to ECOEMPOWER, the contribution underlined that the agency’s work on industrial energy communities is embedded in a wider European effort to empower citizens, municipalities and businesses through regional support structures. ECOEMPOWER’s One‑Stop‑Shops were presented as a practical example of how regional authorities and energy agencies can provide integrated services and digital tools to help stakeholders navigate legal, technical and organisational questions when setting up energy communities.
The General Assembly in Modena thus became another important networking opportunity for ECOEMPOWER, particularly in the context of Work Package 7 on sustainability, replication and exploitation of project results. By connecting with FEDARENE members who are themselves running or planning One‑Stop‑Shops and industrial energy community initiatives, ECOEMPOWER strengthens its links to a wider European community of practice and creates new openings for future cooperation, mutual learning and replication of its methods in other regions.
